Founded in 2014 by Kaleigh Johnson and Fadel Imendjerioune, the artefact house consists of a boutique / tea room and an exhibition space. This "" hybrid "" place nestled in a 17th century building is located in the heart of the Marais in Paris.
Specialized in "" rare teas "" and "" new terroirs "" we source our teas directly from the most talented producers around the world (Australia, Malawi, Nepal, South Korea, Taiwan, Brazil, China, Vietnam, Georgia , Laos, Japan, Colombia, Rwanda & India) by purchasing the finest lots produced ethically with the greatest respect for nature.
At artefact, we use traditional and contemporary tea preparation methods in order to find the best of our products in a cup. Our in-house blends are made only with quality products in our workshop just above our shop, which allows us to create original and “tailor-made” blends.
Our clientele is very large, from large hotels like Le Scribe in Paris to the Senate, La Confiture Parisienne, Kaviari or even the best roaster in France, Terres de café. The beautiful tables also have their good teas, you can find our teas in the 2 restaurants of the two-starred Chef Christophe Hay, at Spoon 2 of the emblematic Chef Alain Ducasse, at the Shirvan, at the very creative Chef Akrame Benalal, at the Pilgrim, a wonderful restaurant of the Japanese Chef Terumitsu Saito and recently in all the bakeries of Chef Thierry Marx. Discover our range of rare, original teas or our scented creations, available in bulk and in 100% organic cotton muslin, hand-sewn and MADE IN FRANCE.
