Description
The shiitake-kombu version of our vegetable bouillon is inspired by the Japanese culture of Ramen soup. Dried shiitake mushrooms are characterised and appreciated in cuisine for their depth of flavour and robust texture. In this recipe we have first dehydrated the shiitakes to concentrate all of these intensity in flavour, umami and nutrition.This version offers a twist to our traditional bouillon with a particular umami taste by adding a shiitake, ginger and garlic paste - as well as kombu seaweed. The Roots Radicals’ bouillon concentrate is made with a variety of vegetables (73%) and preserved naturally with sea salt. Our bouillon provides a nutritious, round and complete taste to your preparations without having to invest multiple hours in cooking.
Use: Add 1 tablespoon of our Shiitake-Kombu Bouillon for every litre of water to make yourself an instant Ramen soup, the base for a risotto, or any base with a more intense mushroom flavour with soba noodles and spinach. For the ultimate “Ramen” experience add: ramen noodles, a spoon of miso, a poached egg and finish off green onions. The finishing touch: add Roots Radicals Pickled Shiitakes!
