Château Le Brézéguet, a story of passion...
Delphine and Jean Longueteau, originally from the French West Indies, took over a small wine estate in the Lot in 1999.
After studying viticulture and oenology, it is now with passion that they cultivate their vines and raise their wine.
With great relentlessness they developed this area by planting more vines, and producing regularly award-winning wines.
In 2015, the estate expanded with the takeover of the Château Grand Chêne vineyard in Bélaye.
Their son Christophe, after having studied and worked on several wine estates in France and New Zealand, also moved to the estate in 2018
The Château Le Brézéguet vineyard is located on a white Quercy plateau at an altitude of 300 m.
The soil is composed of clay and gravelly limestone.
Cool and sunny autumns allow harvesting in optimal conditions.
Château Grand Chêne is a vineyard of a dozen hectares in one piece located in the town of Belaye, 30 kilometers from Cahors, renowned for the quality of its wines.
This vineyard is planted on the Causses du Lot, on the hillsides on siderolithic soils very rich in iron.
It flourishes in the microclimate of this part of the Lot with traditional Cahors wine grape varieties: 70% Malbec, 25% Merlot and 5% Tannat.
Since the 2018 vintage, our vineyard has been certified High Environmental Value. Certification that rewards all the quality work and environmental preservation that is put into action on the farm.
